The Hope Centre team is pleased to share the good news about our new project Link; Local; Together, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. This new project represents our ongoing commitment to sustaining support services for the whole community and highlights the importance of having local and accessible services in a rural community.
Link; Local; Together has 3 years funding from The National Lottery and will mean we can continue to offer services like Citizens Advice, and other activities and groups, as well as our own support services in Bromyard. Led by Heidi Mulholland, her team is responsible for providing advice, guidance and support for people in the community when they need it, as well as delivering groups and activities, home visits and activities in the community. On hearing the news of the award, Heidi said, “Since joining Hope in 2016 I have seen the numbers of people using our service increase every year. We are so pleased to see these services well used and supported by the local community and endorsed by this ongoing funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. We know how much our services matter to everyone from all the heartfelt feedback we receive and the team and I am so glad to continue being a part of community support in Bromyard.”
Part of the funding will allow us to focus on developing new services and support for SEND and for young people. A recent news article highlights that more children and young people are experiencing developmental delays and there is a need for support. We will be offering a service for this through our newly appointed Centre SEND Coordinator, Mim Francis, and our ongoing work with other agencies and professional partners.
At the forefront of what we do is always the community and those in it, so we are so pleased and happy that we can continue to highlight the need for locally led services in rural areas.
