Staffing promotions
Earlier in the year, Anna Beddows was promoted to the post of Centre Admin Manager and joins Heidi Mulholland as part of the senior management team supporting the CEO in the smooth running and operations of the Centre. Anna has worked at Hope for many, many years and has always been a most loyal and supportive colleague to her team and the charity. Anna and her team manage the all important administrative side of running a busy centre and she ably supports her colleagues and the centre with her HR and H&S responsibilities. She played a key role in overseeing the acquistion of our excellent quality management standards accreditation and her promotion reflects the hard work and acknowledgement of her achievements.
Heidi Mulholland has recently been promoted to a new role of Services Manager. Heidi has been working at Hope for just over 4 and a half years and originally joined the team as a very experienced and skilled Family Support Worker. After just over a year with us, she was promoted to lead the team delivering our Children’s Centre service in Bromyard and since then has played a key role supporting the CEO in developing services and succeeding in the delivery of the Children’s Centre services. During her time at Hope, she has become a much valued and respected colleague and has also developed excellent relationships with the people and professionals in the local community. I am delighted that she has accepted this newly created role of Services Manager that will give her a much wider remit to use her excellent professional and personal skills with those she around her. Heidi will manage the Children’s Centre, the Child Contact Centre and Hope Community Hub, our latest addition to services available.
Impact update
Hope Community Hub has been running for just over 2 months and here’s an update on what’s been achieved so far:
Who are we helping? At the moment of those we support 31.5% are over 70, 50% are between 25 and 70 and the rest under 25.
What have we done? Since June, we have delivered 512 individual pieces of support and help to the local community. We have delivered over 200 meals to those who need them. We receive referrals for support from our partners in teh community and from community residents. We continue to engage with all our stakeholders and beneficiaries on a regular basis and are supporting over 30 households with different needs.
What can we do? We are all professionally trained in supporting people and are trained to listen, support and respect confidentially at all times. We are all trained in safeguarding and act sensitively and respectfully. We can listen, we can visit (safely at the moment), we can talk and we can help.
How can I get support? You can ring or text us on 07395 959240 or mail info@hopefamilycentre.org
Hope Community Hub is happy!
As we come to the end of month two, Heidi Mulholland and the Hub team are really happy to have been helping our local community and giving people advice, guidance, emotional support and practical help. We’ve had a great response from local partners and professionals in the community who have given us some lovely feedback and told us what a great service we are offering. We’re so pleased that people are referring to the service and would like to thank the Council, health teams and local schools for making sure help is being offered.
Referring to us is easy and only take a phone call or text and we will get back in touch really quickly. All staff are safeguarding trained and DBS checked and experienced in offering help and support without judgment, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch because we know how hard it is to ask for help sometimes.
We recently launched our Hope Holiday Hub service to help with food and cooking and are using the fabulous team in our cafe (currently closed) to cook healthy meals with a delicious pud as well as lunch boxes for children. All meals come with a recipe card and allergen advice so you can have a go at home if you fancy!

We will help with issues such as domestic abuse, mental wellbeing and budgeting. We will provide gardening help, cook and deliver meals, offer menu ideas and healthy eating recipes. We hope this support will help people at a time when we are having to live without our usual networks of support and we are apart from those we would normally be with. We will use our strong links with other community support organisations and partners to help people access the right help and support.
