HOPE Centre, Bromyard for children, families and the community were absolutely delighted to host their annual Celebrating our Achievements evening on Friday January 29th. With delicious food prepared by the Oscar’s Café team, and in spite of the torrential rain, many distinguished guests, stakeholders, families, staff and volunteers turned up to applaud the achievements of learners, volunteers and staff who received certificates presented by our Patron, Sir Andrew McFarlane.
On behalf of Janet Pearce-Higgins, Chair of the Trustees, Daniel Pearce-Higgins introduced the evening followed by speeches from HOPE’s Patron, Sir Andrew McFarlane; Sarah Eardley, HOPE’s new CEO, and Sheenagh Davis. Among those present were Lady Susannah McFarlane DL, representing the office of the Lord Lieutenant; the High Sheriff of Herefordshire, Edward Harley DL and his wife, Victoria; Councillor Tony Burt, Mayor of Bromyard and the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia, Bill Longmore with his deputy, Barrie Sheldon.
HOPE’s previous CEO and founder, Sheenagh Davies MBE, received a gift on behalf of HOPE’s trustees in thanks for her many years of service as she steps down from her role as CEO. Her work has led to HOPE being a leader in the provision of holistic children, family and community services in Bromyard and the surrounding areas, including an Outstanding Early Years Provision.
HOPE would also like to acknowledge all of those in the local community who work tirelessly on our behalf and who achieve through their efforts and support for the charity, including: the staff team, the Board of Trustees and Friends of HOPE; stakeholders, funders and commissioners whose support allows us to develop services and volunteers and supporters in the local community.

Here are some highlights from an enjoyable evening.
