Spring has come early at HOPE with two pieces of exciting news: Edward Harley Esq., High Sheriff of Herefordshire awarded us a grant to contribute to the work we do with families and children at the Centre and purchase some much needed resources. In this, the first edition of Building Blocks for 2016 we meet some new staff and see what the children have been doing for Chinese New Year, and in anticipation of spring!

This term has been all about recruiting for new staff. Alicia left to work as a teaching assistant in a local school, Beth is moving into a management role at the after school and holiday provision in Bromyard and Lianna left to have baby Ethan. Dementia Friends Information Session

Dementia Friends is an initiative run by the Alzheimer’s Society. It’s funded by the government and aims to improve people’s understanding of dementia and its effects. The Alzheimer’s Society is working with lots of volunteers and other organisations to achieve this goal.

The Hope café is open to all the community and is open daily in the week and on the second Saturday of every month. We are a safe and friendly place for everyone. Our soft play area is great for children and is free.
