Spring has come early at HOPE with two pieces of exciting news: Edward Harley Esq., High Sheriff of Herefordshire awarded us a grant to contribute to the work we do with families and children at the Centre and purchase some much needed resources. This term has been all about recruiting for new staff. Alicia left to work as a teaching assistant in a local school, Beth is moving into a management role at the after school and holiday provision in Bromyard and Lianna left to have baby Ethan. Dementia Friends Information Session
Dementia Friends is an initiative run by the Alzheimer’s Society. It’s funded by the government and aims to improve people’s understanding of dementia and its effects. The Alzheimer’s Society is working with lots of volunteers and other organisations to achieve this goal.
Dementia Friends Information Sessions are run by volunteer Dementia Friends Champions, who are trained and supported by Alzheimer’s Society. [Read more…]
