For children aged 2 – 3 years
This room is designed to give your little ones a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where they can explore, play, and grow.
Children have their own dedicated area, play spaces, sleep area, wash facilities, and garden, giving them the freedom to explore and learn at their own pace. Every day, they enjoy a wide range of activities tailored to their interests and developmental stage, including messy play, creative arts, sensory experiences, and early learning activities. They also take part in extra experiences like music, dance, soft play, and sensory sessions.
Our monthly planning is tailored to your toddler’s development, interests, and the time of year, including seasonal activities, celebrations, and vocabulary focus. You can view the current plan by clicking here on the June 2026 – Toddlers room planning – it is updated every month to reflect what the babies will be exploring and learning that month.
Toddlers often join together with the preschoolers during snacks, lunches, outdoor play, and special activities. This helps younger children to learn from the older preschoolers, who act as role models, demonstrating social skills, sharing, and confidence. It also helps children of all ages to develop friendships across the age groups, build empathy, and enjoy cooperative play.
With free-flow access between indoors and outdoors, and a canopy to provide shelter, children enjoy outdoor play in all weathers. The room operates in line with EYFS requirements, with a staff-to-child ratio of 1:5, ensuring every child receives close attention, care, and support.
