HOPE Café and Early Years Shutdown Week

Hope Café and Early Years department are closed for one week from Monday 21st August.
There will be no Lunch Club, Play & Learn, Bounce & Rhyme or Creative Café that week.
All other services at the Centre will run as normal.
The whole Centre will be closed for Bank Holiday Monday, August 28th and all services reopen on Tuesday 29th August.

Kids in the Kitchen and Holiday Club Fun

What a great start to the school summer holidays here at the Centre!
Our fully booked Hope Holiday Club have been having lots of fun with ceramics, planting seeds, painting sunflowers and enjoying our outdoor space.
Kids in the kitchen was another great success this summer and the cheese scones, potato salad and fruit bomb desserts were a hit!
Our next family event will be our Fabulous Family Fun Morning on Friday 25th August (details in our promo on Facebook). Ring 01885 488495 to secure your family places.

Meeting Boris the Lamb

This is ‘Boris’ the lamb and he belongs to one of the little girls in the Caterpillar room.
He came to visit for ‘show and tell’ in the morning.
All the children at nursery went into the garden to see him.
First signs of spring.

This week in the Caterpillar room…

Caterpillar Room children have been taking part in weekly cooking sessions.
They have made various recipes to learn new techniques, handling new tools and visiting new words to expand their vocabulary. It has helped develop their ability to take turns and understand and follow instructions.
Recently the Caterpillar children have enjoyed cutting and preparing fruit to make smoothies and have made chocolate fudge cake and pineapple upside-down cake. They have also enjoyed reading the recipe books in the Book Corner and chose to make Lemon Spiral Cookies.
If your children would enjoy these activities we have limited spaces available in Hope Early Years.
