Domestic abuse help and support

February 8, 2021 By Sarah Eardley

If you are worried about asking for help or don’t know who to ask, we thought we’d share this with you. We know that sometimes it isn’t easy asking but we will not judge, we will just listen and we will help you find what you need.

Call or text us on 07395 959240 or email info@hopefamilycentre.org and ask for Heidi or Sarah.

“After leaving my ex-partner due to domestic abuse and being rehoused in Bromyard I knew no one at all. I was sad and lonely and had limited money and no

family close to me. I was in a bad way.

I am so glad that I went to the doctors and talked to them and they gave me your number. After a chat on the phone a few times and then coming to the centre I felt almost like I knew things would get better for me and my little boy.

I am so glad that I kept coming back. I found it hard to talk about but you made it easy for me to tell you. I see that you have a save space for mums and you know what to do to get help for people like me.

I will always be grateful for the help and support and advice about how to help my little boy to understand why he couldn’t see his daddy anymore.  My domestic abuse worker tells me I am a “survivor” and the centre’s help made me really think that I am”
