Our Newest Member To Our Team

August 15, 2019 By Aaron Willoughby

On August 5th Louise Davies joined us as the new team leader in our Child Contact Centre.  She joins at a time when demand for our services is growing and brings a wealth of experience to the charity.  Louise started her career as a social worker in 1998 and in her previous role worked as a senior practitioner and consultant social worker at Hertfordshire County Council.  Before that she worked in Caerphilly as a senior practitioner and social worker.

In 2017 Louise relocated to Herefordshire and lives locally with her young family.  We feel very fortunate to welcome her to the team and her skills and experience will serve the children and families at the Centre extremely well.

And the nomination goes to…

April 18, 2019 By Aaron Willoughby

This year 3 staff received nominations for awards in the ISO QSL Good Egg awards

Anna Beddows in the Supporting Egg category –
Anna has been our ISO quality manager since we acquired accreditation and the standard. Her diligence in ensuring a consistency of standards across the charity is key in our professionalism and she makes sure everyone adheres to the high standards she has set.”

Netti Evans in the Quality Egg category –
“This year Netti has made massive improvements in the running of our community café… She works tirelessly and selflessly to get to know her customers and makes sure everyone gets fab service.”

Blaise White in the Green Egg category –
“This year Blaise has introduced several new schemes in the finance department.
He is determined to reduce our paper output by reducing the amount of paper systems and is working on migrating our customer invoice system to an electronic one.”

Congrats to all 3 for their nominations and to Blaise for winning the Green Egg Award.

Grant news

March 29, 2019 By Sarah Eardley

We would like to thank Relief in Need Bromyard and The Eveson Charitable Foundation for making March a great month for us funding wise. We learned that both trusts have made us awards totalling £12,000.  Relief in Need is a local charity that allows us to offer much needed support to children and families directly and we are very pleased to continue to receive their support.

The Eveson Charitable Foundation have awarded us £10,000 for 2019-20 as a contribution towards the services we offer at the Centre and we are very grateful for this generous contribution.

If you would like to support us you can do so by using the Donate button on the home page of the website or by becoming a Friends of Hope member. Your annual membership entitles you to a discount when visiting our child and family friendly cafe upstairs at the Hope Centre.  Forms are available in reception at the Centre or by asking at reception. Alternatively if you visit our Friends of Hope page you will find more info.

The Hope café is open to all the community and is open daily in the week and on the second Saturday of every month. We are a safe and friendly place for everyone. Our soft play area is great for children and is free.
