From all of us at the Centre we would like to wish everyone “Merry Christmas”. The Centre will be closed between Christmas and New Year (for opening and closing times please see our What’s On page ) and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2019. Thank you to everyone who has visited us, attended our groups and our fundraising events. We are grateful for your support and it is hugely motivating to everyone who works here so a big thank you from us all.
Today preschool travelled to Longlands farm near Whitbourne to take part in their traditional nativity. The children had a wonderful tour around the farm and met cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and a beautiful turkey.
The children also had the experience of safely walking over a cattle grid and sitting in a real tractor!
This year Oscar’s will be serving Christmas lunches on 19th and December 2018. To enjoy a 2 course meal and a choice of pudding and followed by tea or coffee you just have to call 01885 488495 by Thursday 13th December to reserve a table!
On Thursday 29th November we held our annual Christmas Fayre. The staff team worked hard for weeks and weeks and we were so pleased it was such a success. Thank you to everyone who came – it was very wet and windy and so we were even more grateful to those who ventured out. Our fundraiser events are really important and help us raise funds that are used to support families and children who attend the centre. Thanks to the efforts of our staff, volunteers, stall holders and supporters we raised an amazing £1100!
There could be no fayre without stalls and this year we had a record 23 stalls – there was a lovely range of different products from original pottery and art pieces to cushions and some wonderful bunting and other gifts. It was amazing! The feedback from customers has been wonderful to hear.
We would also like to thank the Mayor and Mayoress of Bromyard for officially opening the fayre and local Councillor Alan Seldon for coming along. The community’s support for the Centre is so much appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you next year!
Merry Christmas everyone!
